Business Development Manager

Manticore Technology is a leading provider of Software-as-a-Service (SAAS) Marketing Automation solutions. We have an immediate need for a Business Development Manager to build and manage relationships with sales and marketing agencies around the globe. Reporting to the vice president of marketing, the business development manager will drive new business for Manticore Technology by creating successful relationships with marketing and sales agencies around the globe. In this position, you will own the recruitment and acquisition activities for identifying partner opportunities with a distinct need for a marketing automation solution. Additionally, the business development manager will be responsible for nurturing these relationships and executing outbound marketing programs with partners to build out the channel. The business development manager must be a self starter with the ability to seek out and close new business opportunities and who can create a pipeline of business for the company.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Create and drive revenue and customer growth for the Manticore Technology Partnership Program
  • Generate business opportunities through professional, dedicated prospecting, marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Lead the on-boarding efforts of new partners to ensure a successful partnership launch.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual partner recruitment quotas.
  • Own the partner acquisition cycle for the program from lead generation through launch.
  • Identify new opportunities/markets for growth for the program.
  • Negotiate successful partnership goals.
  • Negotiate partner agreements.
  • Execute outbound marketing programs with existing partners to grow the channel.
  • Represent partner's interests in the Manticore product management process.

Qualifications:

  • A proven business development manager with a track record closing deals and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of software sales experience, preferably with a SAAS software background.
  • Articulate with persuasive oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast pace, rapidly changing environment.
  • Knowledge of online marketing, email marketing and marketing automation trends, best practices, and usage.
  • Relationships within the marketing consulting industry a strong plus.
  • Experience with salesforce.com a strong plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or entrepreneurship.
  • Participation at industry conferences and events may be required.
  • Some travel required.

The business development manager will carry quantitative objectives for partner recruitment and program revenue. Compensation is competitive and will be structured as base + bonus. We will not relocate.
